Assistant Vice President, Client Service Officer

Joan B. Chavez is an Assistant Vice President, Client Service Officer with Peapack Private Wealth Management. She works closely with senior advisors, financial analysts, and client service staff to drive and help oversee the behind-the-scenes operations. Joan is responsible for reviewing and evaluating current processes, account opening, initiating money transfers, and dealing with clients and managing their data. She has 35 years of financial services experience.

Previously, she worked as an Inside Sales Client Manager at E2W LTD. Joan also worked as a Vice President and Group Service Manager of the Global Private Bank Family Wealth Group at JP Morgan Chase & Co. Prior to that at Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, she served as a Vice President and Team Leader of the Private Bank Advisor Custody Group.

Joan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University.

BRIAN KIM, CFP®
Managing Director

Brian Kim is a Managing Director in the Family Office Services division at Peapack Private. Brian provides financial, tax and investment advice to ultra high-net-worth individuals and their families. This often includes designing and implementing complex estate, investment, executive compensation, tax and risk planning strategies. Brian is also a member of the manager selection team.

Prior to joining Peapack Private, Brian held the position of Senior Wealth Planner at Ernst & Young where he provided comprehensive financial planning to high-net-worth individuals with a focus in tax, investment, estate and retirement planning.

Brian received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Communications from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM designation by the CFP® Board of Standards.

Assistant Vice President, Client Service Officer

Samantha Ruggiero is an Assistant Vice President, Client Service Officer with Peapack Private Wealth Management. She provides support for ultra high-net-worth clients and advisors, is the primary contact for custodians, leads the client onboarding process, and processes cash movement and service requests. Samantha has 10 years of financial services experience.

Prior to joining Peapack-Gladstone Bank, Samantha worked as a Personal Banker at Bank of America in New York City and as a Private Client Coordinator at AllianceBernstein in New York City. She also served as a Trust Administrative Officer II and Client Sales and Service Officer at US Trust in Florham Park, New Jersey.

Samantha holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fordham University. She is a member of the Peapack-Gladstone Bank Cultural Ambassador’s Committee.

JAMES E. KEARNEY

Managing Principal, Head of Family Office Services

Jim Kearney is a Managing Principal and the Head of Family Office Services. He is a former co-founder of Quadrant Capital Management, acquired by Peapack-Gladstone Bank in 2017. He helps clients and their families reach their retirement and legacy goals by providing comprehensive personal financial planning advice. By combining a forward looking strategy, a focus on details, and an awareness of risks, he has been successfully advising clients for over thirty years. Jim works closely with clients’ other advisors while coordinating their plan, leaving valuable time for clients to focus on their careers, families and leisure activities.

Prior to founding Quadrant, Jim worked in private banking at JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch and State Street Bank & Trust Company.

Jim has a BA from the University of Vermont and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional and a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. He is a past Chairman and President of the New Jersey chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He is also a member of the American Bankers Association/Institute for Certified Bankers.

Jim resides in Essex Fells, New Jersey with his family, where he is an active member and former chief of the Essex Fells Fire Department, an all-volunteer department serving the residents of Essex Fells and the neighboring communities.

Thomas g. Sabol

Financial Analyst

Thomas G. Sabol is a Financial Analyst in the Family Office Services division of Peapack Private Wealth Management. He is responsible for preparing financial analysis and performing investment research for the firm’s ultra high-net-worth client base.

Prior to joining Peapack Private, Thomas served as a Senior Recruitment Specialist with Michael Page Staffing focusing on placing Alternate Investment professionals within some of the largest banks, financial institutions and FinTech firms in the country. Previous roles also included Key Account Executive/Manager & Customer Success Manager, as well as Inside Sales Representative/Supply Chain Logistics Manager, at United Parcel Service and Insurance Broker at International Planning Alliance.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from The College of New Jersey and has completed training in Situational Sales Negotiation.
