THOMAS J. ROSS, JR.
President, Family Office Services
Tom is the President of the Family Office Services division, providing financial, tax and investment advice to ultra-high net worth individuals and their families. He is the former Partner-In-Charge of Coopers & Lybrand’s Personal Financial Services Group in the New York metropolitan area. While at C&L, he served on the firm’s National PFS Steering Committee and played an integral role in founding C&L’s Registered Investment Advisory subsidiary eventually serving on its Investment Policy Committee.
Over the past 35 years, Tom has developed a particular expertise in planning for senior corporate executives. He is well versed in the optimization of compensation and benefits programs and the financial aspects of employment contracts. Tom has worked with over three-dozen current or retired Chairmen, Chief Executive Officers and/or Presidents of major American corporations.
Tom has been named to Worth Magazine’s “Top 100 Financial Advisors” list and to “Who’s Who in Finance” and “Who’s Who in America.” He has written many technical articles, instructed at numerous professional education programs, and has been quoted in much of the national financial press. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive) with a BA in English from Boston College and an MBA in Finance/Investments from the Wharton School.
Tom served on the Board of the Mayo Performing Arts Center and established policies and procedures for its Investment Committee. He has worked closely with the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown, helping to lead a strategic plan review and creating their Corporate Advisory Board. While he and his wife Elise were raising their three children in Mountain Lakes, he was very active in youth sports and in local parish affairs where he served as Chair of the Finance Council. Tom also served as a longtime member of the Board of Trustees of The Tri-County Scholarship Fund and currently serves on the boards of several private foundations. Tom has been involved in the Boston College student and alumni admissions program since college and served on the Executive Committee of BC’s Wall Street Council in New York City.
